Where does the time GO

Hi there friends, Where does the time go? I have missed posting but have popped in to lots of blogs that I so enjoy. Last week was a busy one, as I guess they are for everyone. Lots of the usual, errands, household chores, bills and you know all the basics. I did do a lot of knitting and a lot of shoveling. Yes, we got 22-24 inches of snow since last Friday-3 different storms. My husband picked a great winter to break his arm!!! I think I am developing biceps!

I've been trying to think of spring and can't remember what it feels like, it's been so long. So I started taking pictures around the house and came up with this collage of color.
Look at all my fruits and candies!!! Yummy, right!
One doesn't belong, but what would a day be without just a little chocolate treat.

So as you know I have been working on the twin's baby cocoon sacs. Here's a peek without the hats. I think I'm really slow compared to others, but then again whose comparing!

Look how cute! Let's hope they look more alike....................

This would be better for twins, don't you think?

Working on the hats blue and green. No stripes, have to get this done before they arrive!

Sharing this picture, I have in my granddaughters bedroom in my house. I just love it. It's called "The Giant" by N. C. Wyeth

Here's a close up of the children

I think it is so awesome, I love the beach and the waves, and the breeze, and the birds. SO magical. Hope you like it too.

One more item to Show and Tell:
I picked this up for my new furniture. I love miniature things.

This little white chair is so cute, I just love. I can see many cuties things sitting on it as time goes by.

I also have been making rootings of ivy for my spring-summer baskets and window boxes. My ivy has done so well over the winter. I have had to give it many pixie cuts to get them off the floor.
Look what's growing

I love ivy, it's so graceful, wispy, and flowing

Thanks so much for visiting this nest of mine. Hope you had fun reading and viewing bits and pieces of my life here in New England, USA.

I'm off to shovel more

Monday is for the BIRDS

Couldn't resist trying to put this mosaic together! These are all our winter birds I have been able to capture. Bluejays, cardinals, finches, and flock of robins in tree(from Pennsylvania not Vermont);  Bird nests, houses, branches and feeding ground.

It was so much fun to put this one together.....I'm getting a little bit more comfortable with this picaso photo collage making. Still new at this. I'm a work in progress!!!!

Weekend was great, lots of knitting, a visit from my daughter, husband home and some baking. What could be better? Oh yes, a lovely fire and coziness. Look at this fire!

I just love a fire and this one was roaring!!!

Can you see the lovely reflection? This is so neat, I just love the affect.

Well, I hope everyone is having or has had a lovely Monday and I hope it wasn't really for the birds!!!!!!

Do take care of yourselves, so we can all take care of others. xoRobin❤     And once again I thank you for visiting, as always.

Little bit of this and that❤

Hi There
Popping in to thank everyone for taking the time to visit here. It's so thrilling and it is so much fun for me to visit all of you. Here's an update on the first baby cocoon sac, I hope to finish this one tonight, just taking a break!
This is 18" and now I will be decreasing to 10 stitches and draw thru stitches!

Pattern 6 rows k, 3 rows k, and 3 rows p

Want to see my funny motto, I told you it was a bit of this and a bit of that!
This is the best pillow, rectangle shape and perfect for the small of your back as you sit on the sofa and knit or crochet for hours. It couldn't possibly be that I am getting older.

So we have no more snow on the deck, all shoveled and cleared during one of our mild days. Now the lone chairs are awaiting Spring!

Last but not least, I got a special delivery, new furniture for us but an old ancient. I think it's quite something.

Oh, yes new pink tulips to celebrate!

Thanks so much again for visiting my nest of this and that today. I know it was random, but that's the way my day has been.

Closing with this picture

You know what's amazing about this, it not a sunset. No, this was taking this morning around 8am. "Pink sky in the morning sailors take warning, pink sky at night sailors delight"! Do you know this saying?!?!

Well, take care all and be happy, xoRobin❤

My First Mosaic

Very exciting my first Mosaic, but I couldn't really tell you how I did it, other than I used Picaso.
Seasoned Chairs
I wanted to use, bighugelab, but I couldn't get that to work so I surfed "mosaics" on the web and ended up with this. Emma at Silverpebble@blogspot.com was kind enough to suggest this, but I am not that savvy. I know there must be a better way for a mac then the way I did it, but I did my best. If anyone knows a better way, I would love to learn.

Look at what those poor chairs have gone through this fall-winter so far. For the most part they still look good to me and inviting! Maybe not the buried ones.  Spring will come and those chairs will be used for what they were meant and not just snow holders!

I have been feeding the birds a fair bit this winter due to all the snow. I have gotten cardinals to visit.

And lots of bluejays.......boy they are very bossy and nasty.

I think they have eaten most of the bird seed wreath. I have also had little finches but couldn't get a picture. They are quick and mostly scared off by the bluejays.

I found this lovely nest in my yard and was wondering which bird family lived in it last year. It is holding up so well in all this weather and has it's own mountain of snow on it! Nature is so amazing!

Lastly, I wanted to try my hand at this mosaic of the weather that we had all in one Day today! It's quite something, remember all today!

                                                                           One Day

Thanks for visiting my friends, I really have to get back to knitting. Cocoons and caps awaiting, babies due end of March!!

Blessings to all and Happy Almost Valentine's Day to all you lovelies❤

❤My Next Project❤

Oh, this is so exciting a new knitting project and this time I only have to make "2". My best girlfriend's niece is having twin sons. Sooooo I found this adorable knitting pattern and it was free. Here's the link:   http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=4858&cps=21191  I will show you too.

Here's the beginning. I love the colours. I will be reversing the yellow and aqua on the second one. Do you want to see more? Of course you do, what a tease I am being.

Here it is and next picture up close!

Isn't this the sweetest baby cocoon sack and cap! It will be so cosy for snuggling, nursing baby, and warmth. I have never seen this type baby wear before, that is why I am so thrilled. My granddaughters certainly would have had them.

I will show you the progress along the way.

That's all for now, I just couldn't wait any longer to show all of you. Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my sweaters. My heart was smiling and grateful.
Have a lovely week and I hope to be back soon.

Do you Remember?!?

Here we go all 3 lovely sweaters done, in 3 different colours, for 3 different people, 3 lovely daughters and all made with love!❤!
I picked the colours special for each one's personality, life style and wardrobe. They said they liked my choice.
A little bit dressy, but can be worn quite easily with jeans, Too. Pick the look you want, I say!

SOOOooooooooo, I loved the idea of making these sweaters, but next time 3 different styles would be nice. Don't you think?

I am moving on now and can't wait to show you next time.

How 'bout a picture of Jack to end, in our lastest snow storm!!

Isn't he so sweet, I know I shouldn't say that, but it true! Thanks so much for visiting, I love when you pop in. Hope everyone is staying calm while awaiting Spring. Happy weekend. xoRobin❤
